Ingredients

MemoHoney Ingredients: Seven Label Lines Compared

Quick answer

One MemoHoney capsule is made of seven printed amounts, with no honey.

Arginine comes as 200 mg base and 200 mg AKG 2:1, citrulline as 100 mg HCl and 100 mg malate, then 40 mg beta-alanine, 7.5 mg NE niacin and 18 mg calcium.

Compare it with the full label.

The lineup

Which 7 ingredients does MemoHoney list?

Four amino acid lines, beta-alanine, one B vitamin and one mineral. Flip a card for the studied dose.

Side by side

Are MemoHoney's milligrams anywhere near research doses?

Every line is printed in milligrams, so you can compare. The gap is large.

All seven label lines with their printed amounts, next to the doses research used.
IngredientListedPer capsuleAmount used in researchEvidence
Niacin1 of 77.5 mg NE (47% DV)Daily need 14-16 mg NE; supplement ceiling 35 mg (NIH ODS, Niacin)Nutrient; memory only if deficient
Calcium (as Calcium Carbonate)2 of 718 mg (1.5% DV)18 mg against a 1,300 mg Daily Value Trace amount
L-Arginine (base)3 of 7200 mgExercise studies used 2-20 g a day; Mayo lists no memory use (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements) (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine)No memory evidence
L-Arginine AKG 2:1 Extract4 of 7200 mgA paired form: arginine plus alpha-ketoglutarate (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements) (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine)No memory evidence
L-Citrulline HCl5 of 7100 mgExercise studies used 3-8 g; ODS calls support weak (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements)No memory evidence
L-Citrulline Malate6 of 7100 mgOne weightlifting study used 8 g (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements)No memory evidence
Beta Alanine7 of 740 mg1.6-6.4 g a day for up to 8 weeks in sport studies (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements)No memory evidence

The cited trials tested workouts, not recall. Even grams of arginine usually left nitric oxide unchanged (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements). Profiles: L-arginine, L-citrulline, beta-alanine, niacin.

Worked example

What does one month of MemoHoney add up to?

Multiply each line by 30 capsules. A whole bottle still sits close to a few study days.

One bottle: each label amount times 30, beside NIH figures
Label line1 capsule30 capsulesWhat the month equals
L-arginine (base)200 mg6,000 mg12 g together: six days at the lowest studied dose, 2 g a day (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements)
L-arginine AKG 2:1200 mg6,000 mg
L-citrulline HCl100 mg3,000 mg6 g together: two 3 g study doses, or under one 8 g malate dose (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements)
L-citrulline malate100 mg3,000 mg
Beta-alanine40 mg1,200 mgLess than one day at 1.6 g (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements)
Niacin7.5 mg NE225 mg NE47% DV daily, under the 35 mg ceiling (NIH ODS, Niacin)
Calcium18 mg540 mgAbout 45% of one day's DV

The five amino acid lines total 640 mg per capsule, or 19.2 g per bottle. Reaching 2 g of arginine would take five capsules a day. The label allows one.

Doubles on the panel

Why are arginine and citrulline each printed twice on the MemoHoney panel?

The label does not say. It prints both forms with no reason for the pairing.

Arginine, 400 mg

Base plus AKG 2:1

Base is the plain amino acid. AKG pairs arginine with alpha-ketoglutarate, so the pure arginine inside that 200 mg is lower. No definition of "2:1" appears on the bottle.

Citrulline, 200 mg

HCl plus malate

HCl is citrulline bound to hydrochloride. Malate is citrulline bound to malic acid, the form in NIH's 8 g study (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements).

Pre-workout powders often mix forms like these. We found no claim on the label about why, so we offer none.

The name

Is honey one of the MemoHoney ingredients?

No. Neither the Supplement Facts nor the other-ingredients line mentions honey or any bee product.

Six of the seven lines pictured. The honeycomb and dipper are decoration only.

"Honey" lives in the brand name and the gold styling. Ads that tell a honey-recipe story describe something else. The label transcription shows every printed word.

Small print

Calcium, shell and fillers: the rest of the MemoHoney capsule

A trace of calcium, a plant-based shell and two flow aids.

Calcium: a trace amount

18 mg as calcium carbonate is 1.5% of the Daily Value. It barely moves your daily total, so calcium gets no profile of its own.

Before you buy

A 4-point checklist for the MemoHoney ingredient list

Four checks a careful buyer makes before ordering.

  1. Amounts printed?

Yes. No line hides inside a blend.

  2. Near studied doses?

No. Arginine reaches roughly a fifth of the smallest amount tested. Citrulline gets a fifteenth and beta-alanine a fortieth (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements).

  3. Studied for memory?

No. Mayo Clinic's arginine review covers chest pain, blood pressure and blood vessel problems, with nothing on memory (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine).

  4. Safe with your medicines?

Ask first. Mayo advises against arginine soon after a heart attack and warns about blood pressure, nitrate and ED drugs (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine). Keep taking your prescribed medicine.

FAQ

MemoHoney ingredient questions

Does MemoHoney use a proprietary blend?

There is no hidden mix. All seven lines carry a number, from 7.5 mg NE of niacin to 200 mg on each arginine line. Plenty of memory formulas hide their doses; this one lets you check every figure.

Why are exercise amino acids in a memory product like MemoHoney?

The sales page ties arginine and citrulline to blood flow toward the brain. Research on them mostly covers exercise, and the NIH exercise summary says nothing about memory (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements). The memory link is the seller's idea, not a tested result.

How much arginine is in MemoHoney per day?

Two lines add up to 400 mg: the 200 mg base form plus the 200 mg AKG form. Part of the AKG weight is alpha-ketoglutarate, so real arginine is a bit lower. Exercise trials gave 2 to 20 grams a day (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements).

Does MemoHoney contain caffeine or stimulants?

No caffeine or stimulant appears on the label. The actives are the arginine and citrulline lines, beta-alanine, niacin and calcium. The "Energy" icon on the front is branding, not an ingredient.

Will the niacin in MemoHoney make my skin flush?

Probably not. Nicotinic acid tends to flush the skin at 30 to 50 mg, while one capsule supplies 7.5 mg NE (NIH ODS, Niacin). Which niacin form is used goes unstated, so count any multivitamin too.

What fillers are in MemoHoney capsules?

Only three extras are printed. The shell is hypromellose, a plant material. Vegetable stearate and silicon dioxide keep the powder moving through the filling machine. No sugar, dye, flavor or gelatin is listed.

Are MemoHoney's doses the same as in published studies?

Not even close. Arginine per capsule is near a fifth of the smallest tested amount, and citrulline near a fifteenth (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements). Nobody has published a trial of this exact capsule either.
